“My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”
2 Corinthians 12:9 · KJVPaul asked three times for his burden to be taken away. The answer he received was not the one he wanted, but it was the one he needed: grace would be enough. Not grace for next year or for every imagined problem — grace for the day in front of him.
We often try to carry tomorrow with today's strength. We worry about what might happen and feel weak before anything has happened at all. Grace works differently. Like manna in the wilderness, it is given day by day, and it is always sufficient for the day it is given.
Weakness is not the end of the story. It is often the place where we finally stop relying on ourselves and discover how faithful God is. Whatever feels too heavy today, bring it honestly before Him and ask for grace for this day only.
Prayer
Gracious God, I bring You my weakness. Give me grace for today, and help me trust You with tomorrow. Amen.

For reflection
- What burden am I trying to carry in my own strength?
- How have I seen God's grace in a difficult season before?
